- Started planning our characters for our novel. Planning our main character will help us begin to shape what kind of novel it will be.
- Reviewed what a plane figure is in mathematics, and then explored congruent figures and how to decipher whether or not something is congruent.
- Learned how much the Jewish people have suffered over the years, and how despite all their suffering they have been able to hold on to their cultural traditions.
- Worked together as a class to create a model of our Solar System.
- Met with the Grade 1 students, had them read to us and checked their reading comprehension.
Homework:
Language - Finish character plan
- Study for spelling test (only 10 words)
Reading - Finish reading for book club (only for students who didn't finish in class).
Math - Workbook p. 100
Social Studies - Study guide: sec. 3 (due Monday)
Extras:
- Tomorrow is the 2nd Friday of the month so please feel free to wear your own street clothes.
