Here's to a smooth second day of school!
Today in 5th grade we...
- Had our 13 students represent the 13 colonies that once made up the United States and worked together in creating a class constitution.
- Had our first lesson for the Daily 5 reading program; we learned how to choose a good-fit book.
- Started thinking like scientists by coming up with science based questions.
- Introduced ourselves to our new Social Studies textbook.
- Took a math pretest to see how much we know about our unit of place values and different forms of writing numbers.
Homework:
Math - Workbook p. 1
Science - Write the definitions for the lesson 1 vocabulary
